Blue Canyon greatly values our talented employees, as well as our group of trusted subcontractors. On average, each of our employees has more than 20 years of construction experience. Knowing our team members will spend a great deal of time in a client's home throughout the project, we are careful to handpick experienced, trustworthy individuals who enjoy life and are easy to interact with. Rick King, President
As company founder and president, Rick's flair for design, passion for construction and loyalty to clients and employees are the inspiration behind Blue Canyon. Mentored by his father from foundation to finish, he has spent 28-years in the construction industry and excels at project management, while maintaining high integrity throughout. An entrepreneur at heart, Rick began his career as a high-end men's clothing buyer but quickly advanced to owning his own custom-design clothing store. Rick is a Seattle native and former scoutmaster who embraces family values, and enjoys playing acoustic guitar and fly fishing. He also mixes a perfect martini!

Terri King, Partner
Terri is the office "ring master" and oversees the business side of Blue Canyon, which she has helped husband Rick build-up throughout the years. She joined the staff in 1996 after being a stay-at-home mom, and now guides growth and development while ensuring the Blue Canyon vision is kept in tact. In her free time, Terri is devoted to her family, and enjoys reading and socializing with friends.

Mary Kay Beeby, Business Consultant After an outstanding experience with Blue Canyon on her own remodel, Mary Kay joined the team to help expand the company through strategic planning, marketing, financial management and organizational development. Prior to this, Mary Kay spent 30 years managing corporate organizations and smaller companies. Mary Kay and husband, Dave just completed a second phase of their remodel and enjoy hanging out in their lovely "new" home.

Scott Miller, Construction Coordinator Scott is the veritable "command central" for Blue Canyon’s projects, expertly coordinating with team members, subcontractors, suppliers and clients alike to keep projects on track. A technical whiz touting the perfect combination of design knowledge, practical experience, and patience, Scott is Rick’s right-hand man and ensures all details big and small are seamlessly executed and communicated. Scott holds an Architecture degree from Wentworth Institute of Technology. A recent transplant from the east coast, Scott is an avid Yankee and Jets fan. He enjoys running, cycling and sailing here in the great Northwest with his girlfriend Kate.

Jeff Bodmer, Superintendent and Carpenter Jeff joined Blue Canyon in 2004, having worked for Rick in the 80's. Although graduating with an education degree, he found his work ethic best suited for a career in construction that combined mental and physical demands, and instilled a sense of accomplishment. Jeff's excellent follow-through skills and attention to detail are appreciated by clients, subcontractors and co-workers alike. Once an avid runner, hockey and baseball player Jeff is now a tandem bicycling enthusiast along with his wife.

Mark Corier, Framer
Mark's off-the-wall sense of humor brings entertainment to any job site, where he primarily frames, builds decks and works with siding. He appreciates the physical and mental challenge of construction and the rewarding feeling of seeing a project from start to finish. He loves to work outdoors, and its no wonder - in his spare time, you can find him hiking, climbing and snowboarding. He also plays guitar, is an amateur photographer, and enjoys live music and travel.

Jeff King, Framer
Rick and Terri's oldest son, Jeff started with job site clean-up as a young boy and is now an active crew member quickly learning hands-on framing and carpentry skills. Jeff is extremely creative and brings his artistically-detailed eye for design onto every job site. Having just completed his AA degree he plans to continue his studies in international cultures. In his spare time he loves music, reading and traveling.

Ross Quayle, Lead Framer
Ross is a talented and knowledgeable framer who has worked with Rick for more than 20 years - but still walks walls like he was 18! An honest and dedicated craftsman, Ross is a mentor to the younger crew and a role model for construction professionalism. He is a Northwest native and has raised three beautiful daughters on his own. On weekends he switches from framer to farmer, often supplying friends and co-workers with cherries from his eastern Washington orchard.

Jeff Schatz, Carpenter
Jeff is a hard working, All-American guy and jack-of-all-trades. He enjoys the diversity of the job and skillfully performs a variety of tasks for Blue Canyon, from framing, to cabinet installation, demolition, trim work and more. Jeff is a Northwest native and avid guitar player, strumming riffs for hours every night and spending time with his band. He is also the proud owner of his golden retriever, Deuce.

Scott Wilcox, Laborer
As a laborer, Scott assists with anything and everything on the construction site, and does it with his constant positive attitude. Before joining Blue Canyon, Scott was a skilled machinist and welder, and also spent many years in sales and marketing. Off the job, he is an avid bicyclist and motorcycle enthusiast, having raced professionally in Australia in the 70's. He is happily married to wife Paula, and has a Cockapoo named Gaby.

Curt Williamson, Superintendent/Carpenter Curt's calm and thoughtful approach to project management puts clients at ease and ensures the high quality design and construction Blue Canyon is known for. He's a hands-on superintendent and enjoys using his carpentry skills on the job. A Southwest native, schooled in the Midwest, he and his wife have become avid sailors since moving to the Northwest and travel as far as the Bahamas and Australia to enjoy their pastime.
